Non-Surgical Eyelid Rejuvenation
Upper and lower eyelid rejuvenation can enhance the appearance of your face. The effects of gravity, aging, and repetitive movement tend cause wrinkles, folds, and sagging skin. Fatty deposits under the eyes can cause discoloration and bulging of the skin.
Volume loss from the cheeks and around the eyes can leave you with a tired, sad, or angry appearance. In addition to surgical treatment options to correct aging around the eyelids, there are several non-surgical treatments available for upper and lower eyelid rejuvenation. Many of these treatments are ideal for patients looking to achieve long lasting and natural results with minimal downtime.
Injectable options for non surgical eyelid rejuvenation
For the upper eyelids, forehead, and area around the eyes commonly referred to as "crow's feet," Botox, and other injectables like it, can be a wonderful solution. The application of Botox is used to eliminate fine to moderate lines and can provide lift the eyebrows for a more open, and brighter looking appearance. Results with Botox are visible within 5 days and last for about 3-4 months.
For the lower eyelids, injectable dermal fillers are recommended to smooth the skin, improve under eye bags, and fill creases, lines or depressions caused by volume loss. The kind of injectable filler and the amount of filler per eyelid will be determined by your plastic surgeon upon consultation. This is because different fillers are capable of different results. Most commonly, non-surgical eyelid rejuvenation will utilize fillers such as: Belotero, Restylane, Juvederm Vollure and Juvederm Volbella.
Dermal filler results are immediate and last for an average of 6-9 months.
