Dr. Kim is committed to patient care. Her expertise lies in both functional and cosmetic surgery of the upper and mid-face, with special attention to the periocular region. A Southern California native, she completed her undergraduate and medical education at UCLA and UCSD. During medical school, she completed a prestigious fellowship at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda and was honored with multiple research awards for her work. During her ophthalmology residency at Duke University, she was recognized for her research in corneal neurotization for neurotrophic keratopathy. She went on to complete a highly competitive two-year fellowship at the University of Michigan, where she also served on faculty.
Dr. Kim has published over 50 peer-reviewed manuscripts, book chapters, and abstracts in top clinical journals and presents regularly at national and international symposia.
