Injectable treatments are one of the most frequently used options for nonsurgical correction of facial aging. Injectable treatments help prevent and improve the appearance of wrinkles, volume loss, and the downward descent of the brow.
A Simple Solution With Dramatic Results
As we age our faces begin to lose volume. Our once supple and plump cheeks, begin to dissipate, leaving behind a sharper, more serious appearing, structure, our eyebrows begin to descend, leaving us to appear angry, sad, or harsh, and our lips and mouth begin to thin and wrinkle. These changes happen slowly, starting as early, for some people, as their mid 20s, and they continue until we become new versions of ourselves that are almost unrecognizable.
Many people wait quite some time before deciding to take the first step to addressing facial aging. In reality, this is something our board certified plastic surgeons strongly recommend people begin early on in the aging process. Still, it is never to late to seek out a skilled, qualified, and experienced cosmetic surgeon to help you determine the best ways to prevent and treat your personal signs of facial aging.
At the Appearance Center of Newport Beach, we take a conservative and effective approach to facial aging. Our patients' happiness is our first priority. Delivering precise, customized, and natural looking results is imperative to providing dramatic change while maintaining the patient's sense of self, character, and personality.

FAQs About Injectable Treatments
Botox does not work immediately. You may begin to see signs of it working within a few days of treatment, but it will typically take about 7 - 10 days to take full effect.
Our physicians recommend touching up on your Botox treatments every 3 - 6 months. If you are more physically active, your body may metabolize Botox faster, and you will want to be closer to the 3 month mark.
Patients can start receiving filler treatments as early as 18 years old. Most patients will not need filler treatments for volume restoration at this early age, however, many patients in the late twenties, early thirties and beyond are candidates for some amount of volume restoration. Remember that injectable treatments can act as a preventative measure for facial aging and wrinkles.
There seem to be a lot of treatment places for Botox and filler out there. Buyer be ware. They are not all created equally. Yes, Botox and filler can be easy to inject - for the right person who knows what they are doing. It is also very easy to make a mistake. While places offering Botox and filler in mini-malls seem convenient, they are usually not bustling with experienced and medically trained ophthalmic and facial plastic surgeons. Appearance Center cosmetic surgeons are expertly trained to work with all face shapes, sizes, skin types, ages, and problems. At The Appearance Center you will have a medically trained professional assess your concerns, providing only the best cosmetic solution for an improved and natural looking appearance.
